About
My name is Tiangong You. I am a Bay Area based software engineer with 15+ years of professional experience. I work for a leading tech company, where I architected and developed years of UX innovations for their flagship shopping app on iOS and Android. I was awarded US Patent No. 11,693,540 for my contribution.
It just happens that I also know photography quite well and have sufficiently professional gears in my possession to back up the hobby. The results are good enough to sell on Adobe Stock, though I don’t really make a living out of it. I shoot Leica and Sony on a variety of genres including portraits, landscape, streets, macro and even BJDs.
I’m also a self-taught painter with just enough skills to work with oil on canvas, as well as digitally with a pen-display. It’s nothing more than a hobby but it’s always a pleasure to see my own artworks on the walls around house.
And did I mention that I’m a BJD collector? I have been proud owner of some of the most exquisite pieces for a very long time, and have quite a few rare and obscure models from the Cerberus Project, LUTS and Angell-Studio. It’s such an unusual and non-mainstream hobby, but that’s precisely why I’m so proud of it.
